SILVERY MOON

ORIGINAL

By the light, of the silvery moon,
I want to spoon,
To my honey I'll croon love's tune.
Honey moon, keep on shinning in June.
Your silvery beams,
will bring love's dreams,
We'll be cuddling soon,
By the silvery moon.

Variation

A variation on the chorus has some patter:

By the light, Of the silvery moon (not the sun but the moon)
I wanna spoon
To my honey I'll croon love's tune
Honey moon,Keep on shinning in June (not July but in June)
Your silvery beams,
will bring love's dreams
We'll be cuddling soon
By the silvery moon

SHEET BEND & DOUBLE SHEET BEND

SHEET BEND

The Sheet bend is a bend that joins two ropes together. Doubled, it is effective in binding lines of different diameter or rigidity securely together. It should looks like this when you done.

Double sheet bend

When lines are of unequal diameter or rigidity it is necessary for security to "double" the sheet bend by making an additional round turn below the first before bringing the working end back under itself. The free ends should end up on the same side of the knot for maximum strength. The double sheet bend can joins two ropes more securely than sheet bend. It should looks like these if it is correct.

Other uses of sheet bend:
1.To tie halyard rope.
2.To combine two same size rope.
Other uses of double sheet bend:
1.To combine two different size rope.

CAMPFIRE KINDLED

WHOOSH!
OUR CAMPFIRE KINDLED,
OUR TEN LAWS GLOWING BRIGHTLY,
WOOD SMOKE RISES GENTLY UPWARD,
AND WAFT FARAWAY,

WE KNOW NO IT MINGLES,
BUT IT BEARS GENTLY WHISPERING MESSAGES,
OF SWEET SMELLING EARTH AND WOODLAND,
A LIFE PURE AND FREE,

OUR CAMPFIRE KINDLED,
OUR TEN LAWS GLOWING BRIGHTLY,
SHEDDING LIGHT, WARM AND COMFORT,
OVER SKY, LAND AND SEA.

This is the campfire kindled song, it is sing on every of our camp. To the boyscout, you are compulsory to know how to sing this song. So, I hope you can refer to this lyrics and I will teach you the melody on the patrol meeting.

REEF KNOT

The reef knot used to secure a rope or line around an object. Other than that, it also used to tie the two ends of a single line together such that they will secure something, for example a bundle of objects, that is unlikely to move much.Although the reef knot is often seen used for tying two ropes together, it is not recommended for this purpose due to potential instability of the knot.

Besides, it also can be use in our daily life, for instance, it can be used to tie shoelace, trash bag etc. Furthermore, it also being apply on the scout emblem. It should looks like this when you finished.

Other uses of Reef Knot:
1.Used to tie bandage because it is flat and easy to untie.
2.To tie a package.

CLOVE HITCH...

This is one of the most widely used knots. Because it passes around an objectin only one direction, it puts very little strain on the rope fibers. Tying it overan object that is open at one end is done by dropping one overhand loop over
the post and drawing them together. The latter is used in starting and finishing most lashings.
It should look like this when you finished

The other method of tying it is used most
commonly if the object is closed at both ends or is too high to toss loops over.If you want to learn the other method you can ask me because you may not understand as the image not clear.
2nd method....

Other uses of clove hitch:
1.Making peg ladders.
2.Making rope ladders.
